Topic : NEW YORK CITY LANDMARKS
Course: 6th Middle School
Level: Beginner
Objectives: 1. To introduce the student in a simulate situation of conversation using some specifics grammar topics like; Simple Present Wh- Questions, Greetings and Auxiliary Verbs.
2. Students will learn about all aspects of the New York City Landmarks: Texts, photos, videos and so on.
Materials: Papers, Copies, Web, Data show, Lap top
Activities: Search, Webnar, Seminaries and plays.
Procedure: To Watch a video about NYC Landmark, after it exhibition a movie about the main NYC Landmark. In groups the students will do a Role Play Game ( RPG ) simulate some situation s, like a group of tourist want to know one of the NYC Landmark. For example one of students will represent a tourist who ask to a Police Officer help him about how he should do to arrive any NYC Landmark.
Assessment: Each step of Role Play Game will available, in short, Text in portuguese value 2,0 points. Translate to english will 2,0, Costumers 2,0, Scenery 2,0 and final presentation to classroom will 4,0 points. The betters RPG will be presented to all school in at Cultural Fair
Homework: Search about some Landmark details and curiosity .
